Daily Schedule

Important Notes

  • Students who aren't in their classroom by 9:20 a.m. are considered tardy and need to get a Tardy Slip from the front office.
  • Students will not be released 30 minutes (after 3:30 p.m.) prior to the end of the day without prior arrangements with the front office. 
  • We are not an APS East Mountain School. The delays and closings shown on the local news and from the district for APS East Mountain Schools do not apply to Sandia Base Elementary.
  • Sandia Base does not have early release days. 

Daily Schedule

  • Breakfast - 8:55 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
  • First Bell - 9:15 a.m.
  • Second Bell / Tardy Bell - 9:20 a.m.
  • Dismissal - 4:00 p.m.

Morning Recess

  • Kinder: 10:15-10:30 AM
  • 1st Grade: 10:10-10:25 AM
  • 2nd Grade: 10:25-10:40 AM
  • 3rd Grade: 10:25-10:40 AM
  • 4th Grade: 10:10 - 10:25 AM
  • 5th Grade: 10:10-10:25 AM

Lunch and Recess

  • Kinder: 12:00-12:30 PM
  • 1st Grade: 12:05 - 12:35 PM
  • 2nd Grade: 12:30-1:00 PM
  • 3rd Grade: 12:35-1:05 PM
  • 4th Grade: 1:15 - 1:45 PM
  • 5th Grade: 1:15-1:45 PM

Afternoon Recess

Important Information

  • It is recommended to arrive at designated bus stops 5 to 10 minutes early! Your student will not be excused from school for missing the bus.
  • If the bus is running late, please stay at your designated stops and contact APS Transportation for the status and location of your student's bus. 
  • If this is an emergency (such as an accident, dangerous situation, or missing child), call APS Police at (505) 243-7712

Snow Day Schedule

The following schedule is in effect for days with severe weather conditions:

  • First Bell: 11:15 a.m.
  • Second Bell: 11:20 a.m.
  • Dismissal Bell: 4:00p.m.

Sandia Base Elementary is NOT an APS East Mountain School.
